About Alexandra Jane

I know the path that looks right but feels wrong.

Because I followed mine all the way to the end.

At 17, I knew exactly what I wanted: to be a human rights worker in Myanmar. So I did everything it took. McGill University with a double major in Political Science and International Development Studies. Fordham Law School, focused on human rights law. An LLM in European Law from Panthéon-Assas.

In my final year, I reached the dream and worked for an NGO in Burma. And my life felt worse than ever. I lost my aunt, the woman who inspired me to study law. I went through a legal case as a survivor of assault. I felt so alone.

I tried Big Law in Belgium. I became a yoga teacher in Paris. I went back to law, then into legal technology, and burned out after five years of overworking. Every time, I pushed harder.

The last time I left, I did it differently. With a plan, with savings, and with the strength to wait until the timing was right.

I know what it feels like to keep pushing because you don't know what else to do. I also know what it feels like to finally stop, listen to yourself, and make a different choice. That's what I teach.
